 Table Of Contents

Brain Factor -7

Mdrive Brain contains Brain Factor -7 (BF-7), a clinically tested ingredient that demonstrates its ability to support brain function, memory preservation (short and long-term) and cognitive ability. This ingredient is from a specific species of silkworm, Bombyx mori. The silkworm, rich in protein, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to promote health. BF-7 is a powdered silk fibroin peptide (short chain of amino acids), derived from the silk fiber of the Bombyx mori cocoon. The silk thread is composed primarily of two proteins: fibroin, which constitutes the structural center of the silk, and sericin, a gummy protein outer layer. The manufacturing of this ingredient is accomplished in a cGMP facility using a proprietary process to produce a purified, bioavailable fibroin peptide powder. BF-7 has successfully filed a New Dietary Ingredient Notification with the FDA so it can be safely used in a dietary supplement.

BF-7 has several human and animal clinical trials spanning many age groups, all showing cognitive health improvements. There are human studies conducted with pre-teens, high school and college-age, as well as studies done with adults and seniors – all of which show significant cognitive improvements.

A compelling, 3-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted on 99 adult volunteers 19-64 years of age. They were divided into 3 groups: placebo, 200mg BF-7/day and 400 mg BF-7/day. The results were as follows: The Memory Quotient (MQ) score, a measurement of overall memory ability, averaged at 105 at baseline for all study subjects. The average MQ score increased significantly to 126.6 in the BF-7™ groups, with no significant increase in the placebo group. Additionally, it was found that MQ increased in a dose-dependent manner for the BF-7™ groups (12% increase in 200 mg BF-7™ group, and 21% increase in 400 mg BF-7™ group), but did not significantly increase in the placebo group. These results suggest that BF-7 is an effective supplement for improving learning and memory ability in adults.1

A three-week double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted in 25 senior volunteers 72 ± 5.1 years of age. Participants consumed 400 mg/day of BF-7™ or placebo. The MMSE-K test (a cognitive screening test) was used as an assessment tool to evaluate orientation, memory registration, memory retrieval, attention, concentration, calculation, spatial and temporal organization and linguistic ability. Whereas there was no difference in the MMSEK score of the control group, that of the experimental group improved 13% on average from baseline.2

Some proposed mechanisms of action deduced from several animal studies showed that BF-7 increases cerebral blood flow, creates more intense brain activity during memory tasks, and has antioxidant activity against oxidative damage.

To sum up, BF-7 shows brain function support, memory preservation and cognitive ability enhancement in children and adults demonstrated through carefully designed clinical studies.

Mdrive Brain also has several other stellar ingredients supporting BF-7, the superstar ingredient.

EnXtra

EnXtra is a proprietary extract of Alpinia galanga, a plant in the ginger family. EnXtra has several clinical studies showing its ability to support mental focus, alertness and calmness. EnXtra will provide effective and safe energy without the crash associated with caffeine.3,4,5

Adaptogens

A blend of 3 adaptogens: Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane and Turkey Tail mushrooms also support brain health.

cordyceps

Cordyceps

Cordyceps is a grass-shaped fruiting body that is highly valued in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as an adaptogen. It is used widely in sports products since it helps with cardiorespiratory endurance and physical energy. It also helps the body handle stress and sustain mental energy and stamina.

Lion's Mane

Lion’s Mane is a culinary and medicinal mushroom. Studies have found that lion’s mane mushroom contain two special compounds that can stimulate the growth of brain cells: hericenones and erinacines.

Turkey Tails

Turkey Tails are a colorful mushroom packed with antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress. It has long been used to support immune health. Turkey tail mushroom also contains prebiotics that help nourish helpful bacteria in the gut. Recent neurobiological insights into the gut–brain connection have revealed a complex, bidirectional communication system that not only ensures the proper maintenance of gastrointestinal homeostasis and digestion but is likely to have multiple effects on motivation and higher cognitive functions, including intuitive decision making.

Antioxidants

A blend of powerful antioxidant-containing berries, BettaBerries, helps scavenge free radicals that cause oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is harmful to normal brain function.

Cocoa Powder

Last, but not least, is cocoa powder. You may think this is added just for the delicious taste it gives, but it also contains antioxidant molecules, mostly flavonoids in the form of epicatechin that display several beneficial actions for the brain.

To sum up, we offer a great tasting powder supplement, Mdrive Brain, with ingredients that offer significant cognitive benefits like short and long-term memory preservation, improved energy and focus, stress management, immune support, gut health, and antioxidant protection against oxidative stress. If you think like I do that maintaining cognitive health as we age is important, then Mdrive Brain is for you. Great ingredients, great taste, healthy brain!
